The SquashBusters StoryThe first urban squash program of its kind, SquashBusters is a sports-based youth development program serving 240 students
in Boston and Lawrence plus 70 students in college and hundreds of alumni.
SquashBusters was founded in 1996 by Greg
Zaff, a former squash professional, with the
aim of supporting disadvantaged kids through the most crucial years of their development
and helping them to lead healthy lives. Since then, SquashBusters has served 654 youth in Cambridge, Boston and Lawrence.
SquashBusters aims to ensure that all program graduates:
1. Enroll in and successfully graduate from college
2. Understand and embrace lifelong habits of health and wellness
3. Develop a deep sense of character and personal integrity
SquashBusters has a long history of demonstrated success – 99% of our program graduates enroll in college - 86% of the time to a 4-year institution - and all have been able to do so affordably. Within six years, 80% graduate with a degree.
By supporting the 2017 MFS SquashBusters Derby, you can help ensure a brighter future build for so many young people. We're so grateful for your belief in SquashBusters and in the power of sport and education to transform lives and change the world.
